Basetime: Precision Geodetic Solutions - Unlocking Excellence in geodetic data and tunnel construction.
In the spotlights: Hans van Praat
We continue our Spotlight series with a colleague who has been part of this journey for a long time: Hans van Praat. While Basetime continues to develop in technology, products and international growth, the people behind that progress remain essential. In our Colleagues in the Spotlight series, we highlight colleagues who help turn ideas into reliable, working solutions. This time, the spotlight is on Hans.

Hans officially joined Basetime on September 1st, 2021, but his involvement goes back much further. Since March 2016, he has been working closely with Eltjo and Martijn, contributing to the development and growth of the concepts that would later become Basetime.

What Hans values most about working at Basetime

Taking on new developments and further shaping them into mature, reliable solutions. Translating innovation into something that truly works in practice is what motivates him most.

What gives him energy in his work

Supporting colleagues and customers in making the most of our products. He also gains a lot of energy from actively contributing ideas and thinking along about new developments within Basetime.

The impact he aims to make

Hans wants to contribute to a reliable, worldwide monitoring system that supports a safe working and living environment. A goal that closely aligns with our belief that a safer tomorrow starts with monitoring today.

Why he still enjoys working at Basetime

Because new challenges keep presenting themselves. Each challenge offers new opportunities to learn, improve and continue building.

What he is most proud of

That an initial idea has grown into an international concept that is now used and sold worldwide. He is especially proud of his contribution to the development of Parvamoti and the establishment of the S&S team.

Outside the office

Hans finds a lot of energy in family life and enjoys raising his three children. He is also chairman of Scouting Paulus, where he actively contributes to a young and vibrant volunteer organisation. In his free time, he enjoys running, occasionally completing a half marathon, staying active, and working around the house and in the garden.

His personal motto

“Everything will be alright.”

Stay tuned, as more colleagues will step into the spotlight soon. ✨
